This is the same as the Comfort Footbed but with the addition of a gel insert positioned under the heel. This dramatically improves cushioning and can help prevent bruised/policeman's heel in which the fatty pad under the heel becomes displaced by repeated pounding.
If you suffer from this problem, most winter mountaineering boots benefit from this insole as would some thin soled running shoes. You could also use them in your everyday shoes to increase comfort and decrease leg fatigue. However, we would not recommend using them if you do not suffer from sore heels - use the Comfort Insoles instead which will give you firmer support.
Available in six sizes, the front of the footbed is designed to be trimmed for a perfect fit. Guide lines on the underside of the footbed aid the cutting.
Previously called the Universal Cushion Footbed.
