The Buffalo Alpine Jacket is a Double P jacket, very similar to the Buffalo Belay Jacket, but the hood is fixed. It is ideal for a multitude of outdoor uses including higher level winter hill walking and trekking and any snowy outdoor activities. The hood is not really helmet compatible and is lined with micro-fleece rather than pile, so the Belay Jacket and Expedition Hood remain the best choice for winter climbing in really gnarly conditions, but the Alpine Jacket will appeal to hill walkers who want a warm layer to but on for cold stops in winter and to anyone who wants a rufty tufty warm jacket for general outdoor use in winter.
