Buffalo High Altitude Salopettes are the bee's knees in terms of warmth on those blustery north-facing stances.
The Half-Zip are far superior for Scottish Winter use where they are donned on getting out of bed and ventilation may be needed on the walk-in, as the zips can be opened easily whilst on the move thus allowing perspiring thighs to cool off.
The Full-Zip can be zipped on over other clothing without removing boots but cannot be ventilated easily. This may make them more suitable for High Altitude use in the Greater Ranges but they are not so good in milder climes such as Scotland in winter for which the Half-Zip version may be better.
They feature patches on high abrasion areas and a full crotch zip which makes calls of nature a doddle.
All you need wear under these is a pair of thermal underpants.
They are available in Black and Nato Green - we generally do not stock green but can obtain it to order - please ring us to order green.
Made from fibre pile (quicker wicking than modern fleeces) and what was known as Pertex 6, the heaviest duty Pertex made by Perseverance Mills. It is the same fabric but is now called Pertex Classic.
