Ten point steel crampons for glacier travel, classic mountaineering, and ski touring.
Lightweight, compact, and durable, Petzl Irvis crampons are designed for glacier travel, classic mountaineering, and ski touring. The 10-point configuration provides stability for walking on hard snow and digging into ice. It is available in two binding systems.
The Leverlock version comes complete with an interchangeable front binding so that it can either be full or semi-step in. It needs to be fitted to stiff B2 or B3 boots.
The Flexlock version is designed to be fitted to more flexible boots that don't have a heel clip -in point.
The Irvis is also compatible Petzl Sarken and Dart front sections (available separately) so that they can be converted for use on steeper ground. This is all what Petzl refer to as the Alpen Adapt modular system.
- Compact front sections minimise bulk and make the crampons easier to transport.
- Compact front sections are optimised for small to medium size boots.
