The Ceros belay karabiner minimises the risk of cross loading the gate whilst belaying, a common problem with HMS krabs. Easy to operate with one hand, and able to locate onto the belay loop in a single movement due to the way the spring is set, the Ceros is intuitive to use and simple to rack. Correct orientation is achieved with an internal wiregate that keeps the Ceros captive on a belay loop, and it has a horn which prevents assisted braking devices such as the Petzl GriGri moving onto the karabiner’s spine. The full section top bar gives smooth rope control and resists wear. This Locksafe version has a triple action self locking gate (ie one action to push the gate, a second to twist the gate, and a third to open it) and is the best version for guides and climbing instructors to issue to novices under instruction as it cannot be unlocked accidentally.
