An alpine climbing guide to the limestone Julian Alps which straddle the Italian-Slovenian border and are probably the alpine range least visited by Brits.
Although this guide is somewhat old now (and talks a lot about Yugoslavia), it is the only guide in English to the climbing in this area - which looks fantastic.
The guide has some good line drawings and maps. The information is comprehensive but presented as a series of notes so a map and ability to put together your own itinerary from the facts provided is useful. The climbing descriptions are mainly of routes of IV and below. All the major peaks and many others are described.
