Marketed by Petzl as a work headlamp, we feel the Pixa 2 is a good outdoor headtorch which is incredibly tough and water resistant. It's a multi-beam headtorch with two lighting modes and waterproof to 1 metre for 30 minutes making it suitable for caving and walking in the Lake District!
- Can be worn on the head or helmet using the elastic headband, mounted on a Petzl Vertex Helmet using the plate supplied, or placed on the ground.
- Two lighting mode plus an automatic reserve mode for when the batteries are running low.
- Constant guaranteed lighting performance that does not diminish during the lifetime of the batteries.
- Easy to use, even when wearing gloves, with a mode rotating selector dial and a lamp body that can be oriented to direct the light according to need (rotation up to 45°).
- Storage position protects the glass and keeps the headlamp from being turned on accidentally. There is a battery charge indicator consisting of a repetitive flasher and red light and changing the batteries is fast and easy.
- Durable, with excellent resistance to falls (2 metres), to impacts and to crushing (80 kg).

Functions with two AA/LR6 batteries (included), compatible with alkaline batteries, rechargeable Ni-MH and Ni-Cd batteries, and lithium batteries. Alkaline batteries are particularly prone to rapid drop off of power and we recommend lithium batteries.
NB: by replacing your PIXA headlamp's alkaline batteries with lithium or rechargeable Ni-Mh batteries, you can double the burn time of your headlamp, with identical lighting performance (however, the ATEX and HAZLOC certifications will no longer be guaranteed).
Weight (with batteries): 160g.
